The Tom Yum

The Tom Yum is a traditional junk rig schooner. She's a beautiful classic boat, and is licensed for up to 15 passengers, registered in Thailand as a passenger vessel. She is made of timber in the traditional Malay 'bedar' style.

This vessel is available for larger groups wanting private charters; 'Kai Islands Snorkeling Tours', 'Cruise the Bay Tours' to James Bond Island and 'Sunset Dinner Cruises'.

The Tom Yum is also available for overnight charter. Prices by application, but generally is around 20,000 baht per day, including food and softdrinks, depending upon how many passengers and where you want to go.

The Sakai

The Sakai is an 11m sloop, with bilge keels (shallow draft). She is registered in Thailand to operate as a tour vessel and is made of fibreglass and timber. The Sakai has a 40 hp engine for those few occasions when the wind fails us.

The Sakai has two separate cabins for sleeping, a bathroom and a saloon/kitchen, which can also serve as a double cabin.

There is ample room for up to 10 passengers and a crew of 3 for a day trip.

For overnight trips, the Sakai can accommodate up to 6 passengers plus a crew of 2, with tents for sleeping ashore for another 4 passengers.
