Our Yachts
Sakai is an 11m sloop, with bilge keel (shallow draft). She is made of fibreglass and timber. The Sakai has a 80 hp engine for those few occasions when the wind fails us.
The Sakai has two separate cabins for sleeping, a bathroom and a saloon / kitchen, which can also serve as a double cabin.
There is ample room for up to 10 passengers and a crew of 3 for a day trip.
For overnight trips, the Sakai can accommodate up to 6 passengers plus a crew of 2, with tents for sleeping ashore for another 4 passengers.
We use two different speedboats for our tours, one for Phi Phi Island and one for Phang Nga Bay.
Both our speedboats have full safety equipment, including GPS, full sets of both children's and adult's lifejackets, a toilet and shower.
In line with our commitment to the environment, our speedboats have two 225 horsepower 4-stroke engines. This means they are much quieter, less polluting and less smoky than other speedboats which use 2-stroke engines.
Our two speedboat Captains Mann and Yoon, each have over 20 years experience navigating the waters of Phang Nga, Phuket, and Krabi.
Phuket Sail Tours has long-term lease agreements for its two speedboats. We also outsource the maintenance which allows us to concentrate on creating the highest quality, most unique and exciting tours Phuket has to offer.
Our tours are entirely run and operated by us.
Phi Phi Island
At only 8 months old our Phi Phi Island speedboat is top quality and the latest design. Licensed for 25 people plus crew, she is made of fiberglass and has a deep V shaped hull, which cuts through the waves with ease, perfect for the trip to Phi Phi Island.
This speedboat design is used by some of the best 5-star resorts in Phuket.
Our Phi Phi speedboat is kept at Boat Lagoon, the closest point to Phi Phi Island.
Phang Nga Bay
Our Phang Nga speedboat is licensed to carry more than 35 people, but we still keep our group size to a maximum of only 20 people. We love the extra space and room she gives us, and her design and shape makes her the perfect spacious speed boat for cruising the lovely waters of Phang Nga Bay.
Our Phang Nga speedboat is kept at Ao Po, the closest point to Phang Nga Bay.
